Head's Welcome

I am very pleased to welcome you and your child to Anson Primary School.

At Anson Primary School we aim to ensure that all children have a successful, enjoyable and rewarding time. We are committed to giving the children every opportunity to develop into independent, resourceful and caring individuals. At the heart of our vision is an aim to ensure all children are happy, confident, creative and leave Anson in the perfect place to enjoy a love of learning throughout their lives.

In order to achieve this vision, we ensure that education is a partnership between school and home throughout your child's time with us. We see your cooperation and support as vital in ensuring that the children gain the maximum benefit from their time here. We also embrace support from parents as part of our work which benefits all the children at the school.

In school, children are continually challenged to attain higher standards so it is important that expectations are high, both academically and personally. Through a range of teaching styles, the staff foster a positive atmosphere of mutual respect and trust to create an environment where pupils feel safe and valued individuals. In this way we hope that they will develop self-motivation and a sense of personal worth.

Our success both within the school and the wider community is recognised through the various awards that we have gained, the achievements of the children, and the links that we have throughout the country and abroad. Our primary objective is to educate your child, with breadth and balance, creativity and confidence. We are pleased that our Ofsted Report described Anson as being like ‘a village school in the United Nations of Brent’, a true reflection of our community.

I hope that the website will provide all the information you require, but should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to a happy, productive relationship between the school, parents and children in the years to come.

Anson supports and encourages everyone's learning, wellbeing and happiness and is a great place to live and learn.
