Friends of Anson (FoA) are the Anson Primary School parents and carers association.

Our ethos is to provide fun activities for the children and families of Anson while raising funds to support the school. We aim to follow the school vision and create a happy, friendly, and inclusive environment where children are confident and creative.

We have become a registered Charity (1205603) and the money we all raise provides funds for school resources that are not met by the school funding formulas.

Every parent and carer who has a child at Anson Primary School is automatically a member of Friends of Anson. We have a simple structure; parents, volunteers and the committee.

The work that Friends of Anson does adds to the experience of each and every child at the school. 

Key events run by Friends of Anson are the Halloween Disco, Film Night, Summer and Winter Fayres alongside smaller cake sales, book shops and coffee mornings.  

We have lots of plans for events including a welcome picnic for new Reception families, a Valentines Disco for the children and social nights for parents such as Bingo, Quiz Nights and dancing…

We actively encourage all to get involved with our fundraising activities. There is no specific commitment required. Your involvement would be most welcomed, however big or small.

Our showcase event each year is the Summer Fayre. This brings the whole community together to have fun, gather with friends and raise funds for the school.

Stall pitches cost £30 (£15 if you are an Anson parent).

Friends of Anson is all about community. The vision is to ensure that Anson is at the heart of a very special, very diverse and very warm community. We do this with the partnership of several local businesses and are thankful for their kindness and generosity. 

FUNDRAISING

The events at Anson raise additional funds for Anson Primary School. This ensures that our happy, confident and creative school can continue to offer amazing experiences above and beyond the curriculum.

Friends of Anson is making our library sustainable with its Bake For Books campaign as well as supporting our Hoodie Programme, Going for Gold and Outdoor Theatre events.
