    Sports Day 2024

On Thursday, 27th June 2024, we travelled to Gladstone Park for our annual Sports Day.

During recent PE lessons, the children have been practising their skills in throwing, jumping, running, and team games. It was great to see them put these into action in front of so many cheering parents. The standard of competition was higher than ever, but most importantly, seeing so many smiles on faces showed the day was a great success.

    Cricket Tournament

On Thursday 6th June 2024, we travelled to Wembley Cricket Club with a team of Year 5 and 6 boys. The tournament was on a glorious sunny day and everyone had a fantastic time batting, fielding and bowling.

We played against Roe Green, Ark Franklin and Mitchell Brook. We finished off with a friendly against St Robert Southwell. All games were played in a sporting manor and all the children were a credit to their schools.

    Table Tennis Friendly

On Monday 11th March 2024 we welcomed St Robert Southwell School to Anson for a Table Tennis friendly competition. This was the first time we have hosted such an event and the children from both schools had a superb time. We look forward to the next opportunity.

    Girls Football

On Friday 8th March, 2024, a team of girls from Year 3 and 4 travelled to Kingsbury High School (lower site) for a football festival, hosted by QPR. The coaches took the children through a series of practices, such as shooting, dribbling and passing.

    Panathlon Event

On Wednesday 22nd November, 2023, a team of children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 represented Anson in a Brent Boccia festival. Our children have had an opportunity to practice Boccia at school, both during Sports Week and in PE lessons, and are proving to be extremely talented.

On Friday 17th November, 2023, Anson entered a Brent football tournament with girls from year 4, 5 and 6. They had a wonderful time playing football against lots of other schools.

    Highland Games

On Tuesday 14th October, 2023, a team of children across Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 competed in the Brent Highland Games at Willesden Sports Centre. Events including log throwing, tug of war and jumping, are all based on traditional Scottish events.
