20th December
PYRAMUS & THISBE
It has been quite a busy final week of term at Anson with the staff taking to the stage for three performances of Pyramus & Thisbe.
It was a joy to perform for the community and the children this week and we hope that those of you who attended the show really enjoyed it.
The feedback has been wonderful and all the actors are very grateful for your support. I would like to pay special thanks to all the staff on stage, behind the scenes and supporting the rehearsals in many ways for helping us create these magical memories for the community.
2024: WHAT A YEAR!
The year is drawing to a close and it is amazing to think about the amount we have achieved together in the last twelve months.
It began in January with Big Me Day, saw a wonderful Valentines Disco in February and leapt into Spring with the Earth Day Sunflower Project.
In April we opened our new library space and completed SATs and Gordon Brown challenges in May. June saw the Summer Fayre and in July we showcased our school to Ofsted. After a quiet August, September saw us welcome new families, with Halloween Discos in October and a November which began our first Class Assemblies of the year. In December we opened the doors to the Winter Fair and saw the staff on the stage. It’s been a wonderful year! Thank to everyone for your support.
BIG ME DAY 3
On Thursday 16th January 2025 we will host our next Big Me Day.
This year the format is slightly different. The children will still be dressing up as their future careers, but we will be hosting less visitors on the day as we run two special assemblies in the morning and afternoon focusing on aspiration and opportunity.
Children do not need to buy an outfit for the day. A future chef could bring a wooden spoon, a future vet could bring a soft toy animal and tennis player could bring in a racket.
We can’t wait to see how the choices have changed since last year.
